Jax Fish House & Oyster Bar is looking for a talented and kick-ass Assistant General Manager to join our team! 

You need to be a dynamic leader, self-starter and experienced restaurant professional who is a selfless hospitalitarian, unflappable, nimble, adaptable, vibe builder and great communicator. Passion for elevated service that is fine-dining in its execution and familiar in presentation is important.

What we expect:

  • A magnetic HOSPITALITARIAN approach to guests and staff alike - capable of delivering the extraordinary.
  • Ensure that all food and beverages are consistently prepared and served according to the team's standards.
  • Wine, Beer, Spirits, Cocktail KNOWLEDGE and the skills to TEACH (Sommelier Certification is a plus!)
  • Food KNOWLEDGE - service, preparation and the delivery of outstanding food.
  •  Achieve Company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance of facility and sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment 
  •  Minimum 2 years of manager/management/supervisory duty in a full service restaurant setting 
  •  Minimum 2 years of server, bartender, service captain experience in a full service dining and/or casual upscale restaurant setting
  • Working knowledge of POS/Toast, Scheduling Software, Excel (spreadsheets), Google Suite and electronic order entry
  • ServSafe Manager & TIPS Certified (we will train you!)
  • Ability to handle the physical requirements of a restaurant manager job which includes bending, reaching, standing for long periods of time and carrying and lifting heavy and really hot stuff!
  • Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays
  • Integrity, intelligence, honesty and a willingness to learn, dig in, and be world famous.
  • Must lead with laughter and humor. Life is too short otherwise.
